AKRON, Ohio – The Akron Municipal Court is offering two fun offsite wedding opportunities for area couples in February and March.
Judges Jon Oldham and Ron Cable will officiate Valentine’s Day weddings at the Akron Civic Theatre on Feb. 14 and Cable will officiate Pi Day weddings at the Towpath Tennis Center on March 14.
Couples may invite no more than 10 guests to witness their ceremony due to space constraints.
Valentine’s Day ceremonies
Weddings will be held Feb. 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Akron Civic Theatre, located at 182 S. Main St.
Pi Day ceremonies
Weddings will be held March 14 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Towpath Tennis Center, located at 2108 Akron Peninsula Road. Pi Day (3.14) is an annual celebration of the mathematical constant π (pi). Couples who schedule a Pi Day ceremony will receive a free pie courtesy of the Gardner Pie Company.
How to schedule
A limited number of ceremony slots are available and appointments are first come, first served. Appointments must be scheduled and paid for before the date of the ceremony. The fee for residents of the court’s jurisdiction is $35 (Akron, Fairlawn, Bath, Richfield, Springfield Township, Lakemore and the Summit County portion of Mogadore).
