STRASBURG − Points might have been hard to come by during Friday’s Inter-Valley Conference low-scoring tussle between Buckeye Trail and host Strasburg. But plenty of physical play and effort was on full display by both squads, with the visiting Warriors grinding out a hard-fought 42-36 victory over the Tigers.
“This is a big bounce-back win for us tonight,” Warriors coach Gregg Strasser said. “We didn’t play very well against Conotton Valley the last time out, so we wanted to get back on the right track and we accomplished that tonight. Really proud of the kids, this is a tough place to play and we showed a lot of fight tonight.”
With the IVC road win, Buckeye Trail improves to 3-2 in IVC play and 5-2 overall, while the Tigers slip to 3-2 in IVC action, 4-4 overall.
