The kids in Mrs. Lane’s first grade class were learning all about engineering and design. How were they doing this? Building gingerbread houses! Star City talked with Mrs. Lane and her students see how building these houses helped them learn.
“We are building gingerbread houses, so the boys and girls used milk cartons, and we use those as our base of our house and then we had materials that were brought in from parents for their donations that made this whole thing possible,” Lane said.
