Alliance Elks 467 names its Dec. students of the month

Alliance Elks Lodge 467 has announced its December Teenagers of the Month. The students are selected by their respective schools based on scholarship, leadership, character, citizenship and service to school and community.

Alliance

Kylee Puckett , daughter of John and Angela Puckett, plays softball and is in Jetsetters choir and stage crew. She is involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters, and appears in plays at the high school and Carnation City Players. Puckett plans to attend University of Mount Union to study nursing.

Andrew Chunat , son of Carrie and Curt Chunat, is on the swim team and in speech and debate. He ran cross country and track as a freshman and sophomore. He is in band, jazz band, Jetsetters and Choralaires. Chunat also is in National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Key Club and on the Academic Challenge team. He plans to attend college to study foreign relations.

Louisville

Cheyanne Franklin , daughter of Tiffany and Michael Franklin, is a cheerleader and plays lacrosse. She is in National Honor Society, Student Council, Spirit Club, Key Club, Varsity Singers and Sources of Strength. Franklin is an Aultman ambassador and plans to attend Aultman College to become an ultrasound technician.

Kolton Loy , son of Ken and Heidi Loy, is captain of the football team and plays basketball and baseball. He is treasurer of Student Council, and a member of National Honor Society, Leopard Mentors and Sources of Strength. Loy plans to study engineering in college.

Marlington

Claire Battershell , daughter of Mike and Jeanine Battershell, played volleyball and was a 2024 Buckeye Girls State delegate. She is a member of Spanish National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Character Counts, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and a Duke Crew director and pound leader. Battershell plans to attend Tiffin University, where she will study education while playing volleyball…
