Former My Chemical Romance Drummer Bob Bryar Dies

Bob Bryar, the drummer for My Chemical Romance from 2004 to 2014, has passed away at the age of 44.

Bryar was found deceased in his Tennessee home on Tuesday. He had last been seen alive on November 4.

Authorities suspect no foul play, as Bryar’s weapons and music equipment remained untouched. Two dogs were removed from the home by Animal Control after Bryar’s body was discovered in a state of decomposition.

The medical examiner is investigating the cause and manner of Bryar’s death.

Bryar joined My Chemical Romance during their tour with The Used in 2004. He played drums on their acclaimed album “The Black Parade” (2006) and contributed songwriting to their 2010 release “Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys.”

Before the release of “Danger Days,” Bryar left the band and pursued other musical projects. He later transitioned to real estate.

In recent years, Bryar shared his experiences with suicidal thoughts since leaving My Chemical Romance.

Despite My Chemical Romance’s scheduled tour next year, Bryar was not expected to participate. He remains the band’s longest-tenured drummer.
