Hezbollah Command Devastated, US Warns of Iranian Response

The White House has declared that Hezbollah’s leadership has been significantly weakened, with thousands of drones and missiles destroyed. The group’s Secretary General, Hassan Nasrallah, was killed in an Israeli airstrike.

However, US officials caution that Hezbollah will likely reorganize and that Iran may retaliate. National Security spokesman John Kirby warns that the US must be prepared for a response from Iran, its proxies, and militia groups in the region.

The US has increased its military presence in the Middle East in response to the situation. Kirby says the US has deployed additional forces and is considering further enhancements to its defense posture to deter aggression and prevent a broader war.

While the US has a strong military capability in the region to defend itself and Israel, Kirby acknowledges that US assets could become targets of attacks. He says the US is in discussions with Israel about mitigating this risk.
