Judge OKs Musk giveaways

Additional Coverage:

A Philadelphia judge has ruled in favor of Elon Musk’s America PAC, allowing it to continue its $17 million giveaway to voters in swing states.

Despite Musk’s previous claims of a random lottery, it was revealed in court that the winners were preselected. Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner had sought an injunction to stop the giveaway, alleging that it was misleading voters into signing petitions.

Krasner’s attorney condemned the giveaway as a “scam,” while America PAC’s lawyer maintained that the winners were chosen based on their social media presence and other factors.

The final prize winner is expected to be announced in Michigan on Tuesday. The ongoing legal battle highlights the complexities of campaign finance and the potential for deception in political fundraising.
