Kate Middleton Comforts Holocaust Survivor

London – Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate, attended a Holocaust Memorial Day event at the Guildhall on Monday. The event marked the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau.

The royal couple shared a touching reunion with Holocaust survivors Yvonne Bernstein and Steven Frank, whom Kate had previously photographed. Kate warmly embraced Bernstein and held hands with Frank while exchanging greetings.

Prince William delivered a poignant speech, remembering the millions of victims of the Holocaust and subsequent genocides. He praised the survivors’ bravery in sharing their stories. William also read an excerpt from the book Holocaust Heroes.

The Prince of Wales expressed his honor at attending the event with his wife. Kate focused her attention on the survivors and their experiences.

King Charles III marked the solemn occasion with a visit to Poland. He met with Holocaust survivors at a Jewish community center in Krakow. He then became the first British head of state to visit Auschwitz.

During his visit, Charles was visibly moved by the testimonies of survivors. He spoke about the importance of remembering the horrors of the Holocaust and preventing future atrocities.
