Five men have been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of rapper Quando Rondo’s cousin in Los Angeles last August. The men are accused of conspiracy to commit murder for hire in retaliation for the death of rapper King Von.
According to prosecutors, the men, who are alleged members of the OTF gang, planned and executed the shooting after learning of Quando Rondo’s whereabouts. They allegedly used a credit card associated with the gang to book plane tickets from Chicago to California and obtained weapons and vehicles to carry out the attack.
The intended target was believed to be Quando Rondo, but the bullets struck his cousin instead. The suspects fled the scene and were later apprehended by federal agents.
The arrests come amid a separate case involving the slaying of rapper FBG Duck, in which rapper Lil Durk is fighting allegations that OTF is a gang. The two rappers have since resumed their music careers and are set to release albums in November.
