Manhunt Launched for Subway Arson Suspect
A tragic incident has occurred in Brooklyn, where a woman was fatally set on fire while sleeping on a subway train. The victim, whose identity remains unknown, was found at the Stillwell Avenue station early Sunday morning.
Police are actively searching for the suspect, who approached the victim and ignited her. The woman was declared dead at the scene, and the case is being investigated as a homicide.
The suspect is described as a male, 5’6″ tall, weighing 150 lbs., and between 25 and 30 years old. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, jeans, a knit hat with a red band, and brown boots.
Authorities have released photographs of the suspect and are seeking the public’s assistance. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to his arrest.
Councilman Justin Brannan expressed his condolences and stated that the police would provide an update to the public later in the day. He urged the community to keep the victim in their thoughts and prayers.
