Michigan State, Michigan Brawl After Game

Additional Coverage:

A heated rivalry flared up in the final seconds of Saturday’s Michigan-Michigan State football game.

Tight end Colston Loveland of Michigan and defensive end Anthony Jones of Michigan State clashed, leading to a shoving match and punches being thrown.

Loveland later dismissed the incident as “heat-of-the-moment stuff.”

Both coaches expressed disappointment, with Michigan’s Sherrone Moore calling it “unacceptable.” Michigan State’s Jonathan Smith said it was an unfortunate way to end the game.

This is not the first such incident between the two schools. Two years ago, a brawl broke out in the tunnel after the game, leading to criminal charges and a hefty fine for Michigan State.
