In a tragic event on Friday, a vehicle barreled into a storefront in New York, resulting in four deaths and nine injuries, confirmed by local authorities.

The catastrophic event unfolded in the afternoon in Deer Park on Long Island, with the Deer Park Fire Department Chief Dominic Albanese revealing details at a news briefing.

According to Chief Albanese, a minivan plowed deep into a nail salon, stopping just short of the back wall. Upon their arrival, emergency responders discovered four individuals dead within the salon, though it was not immediately clear if they were staff members or patrons.

Following the incident, nine individuals were urgently taken to nearby hospitals for treatment, one requiring air transport due to the severity of their injuries. Among those hospitalized was the driver of the minivan, who was semi-conscious when emergency teams reached him, Albanese noted.
