Billionaire Elon Musk has criticized Nigel Farage, the leader of the UK’s right-wing Reform UK party. Musk stated that Farage lacks the necessary leadership qualities.
The rift between Musk and Farage emerged after Farage publicly disagreed with Musk’s support for far-right activist Tommy Robinson, who was jailed for contempt of court. Farage distanced himself from Robinson, saying he did not align with Reform UK’s values.
Despite their earlier relationship, Farage acknowledged Musk’s “remarkable” nature but maintained his disagreement. Musk’s comments came just hours after Farage referred to him as a “friend.”
The issue of Robinson is contentious in the UK, and Farage previously accused him of inciting hatred. Musk, however, has repeatedly advocated for Robinson’s release.
