New York Man Charged With Plotting to Aid ISIS in Syria

FBI agents arrested a New York man at JFK Airport for allegedly attempting to join ISIS in the Middle East. The man, Syed Aman, was planning to travel to Syria via Qatar.

Aman was charged with providing material support to ISIS. According to authorities, he expressed support for the terrorist group online and sent money to an alleged operative.

In communications with an undercover source, Aman allegedly stated his desire to wage war on behalf of ISIS. He also expressed hatred towards non-believers.

Aman had previously attempted to book flights to the Middle East but was unsuccessful. He eventually booked a flight to Qatar, where he planned to connect to Turkey and cross into Syria.

FBI officials praised the New York Joint Terrorism Task Force for preventing Aman’s plans from materializing. They emphasized their commitment to protecting the nation from terrorism.
