Nurse Arrested in Newborn Abuse Case
A registered nurse, Erin Strotman, has been arrested in Virginia for allegedly injuring a newborn in a hospital’s NICU. She faces charges of malicious wounding and child abuse.
Series of Incidents
In November and December 2023, three babies in the Henrico Doctors’ Hospital NICU suffered unexplained fractures. A year earlier, four similar incidents had occurred. The hospital launched an investigation and closed the unit.
