United Airlines to Roll Out Starlink Wi-Fi
United Airlines plans to offer free Starlink Wi-Fi on its flights as early as this spring. The airline originally aimed for a later rollout, but has accelerated its timeline.
Testing and Rollout
Testing will begin next month, with the rollout to follow. United will first equip its regional fleet with Starlink, followed by major routes before the end of the year. Eventually, the entire United fleet will have Starlink Wi-Fi.
Benefits for Passengers
MileagePlus members will have access to the Starlink Wi-Fi. It will offer in-flight entertainment options like streaming, shopping, and gaming, available on seatback screens and personal devices.
Starlink Partnerships
Starlink, operated by Elon Musk’s SpaceX, has also partnered with Hawaiian Airlines and JSX.
