AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS – JULY 04: Taylor Swift delivered a riveting performance at the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam on July 4, 2024, as part of her “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour.” The sold-out show featured a surprise rendition of “The Archer,” a track previously omitted during her Paris concert. Swift’s powerful delivery of the lyric “I’m ready for combat” had the audience erupting in cheers.

Throughout the Eras Tour, Swift initially concluded the “Lover” era with “The Archer” but revamped her playlist in April, making space for songs from “Tortured Poets,” thereby finishing the “Lover” era with its titular track instead.

During an acoustic segment, Swift ingeniously blended “The Archer” with “Question…?” from her “Midnights” album.

She transitioned smoothly from wielding her guitar to sitting at the piano for a two-song segment. In an effort to incorporate diverse musical periods from her career, Swift said, dressed in a vibrant orange outfit, “I really wanted to challenge myself to play as many songs from different eras and albums.

We’ll see how this one goes.”

Swift also melded “Guilty as Sin?” from “The Tortured Poets Department” with “Untouchable” from “Fearless (Taylor’s Version),” to the delight of the roaring crowd.

Impressed by the audience’s enthusiastic participation, Swift commented, “You guys sang that so loud. It’s just the most thrilling feelng when I can hear your voices so loud, over even what’s coming out of the speakers.”

With two more shows left in Amsterdam, Swift will continue her tour, next heading to Zurich.
