### Taylor Swift’s Show-Stopping Look at the 2024 VMAs
Taylor Swift definitely made a grand entrance at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards at New York’s UBS Arena on Wednesday, September 11. The 34-year-old pop star, known for hits like “Karma,” opted for a daring outfit, diverging from the glittery, sequined looks she’s sported in previous years.
Swift stunned in a yellow and black plaid top with an accompanying train, paired with high-waisted black shorts, matching leather gloves, and thigh-high heeled boots. Her makeup featured a smoky winged eyeshadow, and she wore her hair down in natural waves.

Taylor leads this year’s VMAs with a whopping 12 nominations. Earlier in the day, she made headlines by endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for the upcoming 2024 presidential election, turning to Instagram on September 10 to explain her choice over Republican candidate Donald Trump.
“Like many of you, I watched the debate tonight,” Taylor wrote. “If you haven’t already, now is a great time to do your research on the issues at hand and the stances these candidates take on the topics that matter to you the most. As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country.”

Taylor highlighted her decision to support Kamala Harris, 59, citing her efforts to champion causes that need strong advocacy. “I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader, and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos,” she added, commending Harris’s choice of running mate Tim Walz, known for advocating for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and women’s bodily autonomy.

In her post, Taylor also condemned Donald Trump and his team for posting AI-generated images of her endorsing him. “Recently, I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site,” Swift mentioned, noting her concerns about AI’s potential to spread misinformation. She concluded by emphasizing the importance of countering false information with truth, sharing her clear plans for the election.
Donald Trump responded to Taylor’s statement by saying she would “pay the price” for her endorsement.
