Veteran’s Rented Cybertruck Explodes

Additional Coverage:

A Tesla Cybertruck explosion in Las Vegas claimed the life of Matthew Livelsberger, an active-duty Green Beret with 19 years of experience.

Livelsberger, a highly decorated combat soldier, served in Afghanistan, Iraq, Ukraine, Congo, and Georgia. The rented truck, which had gasoline and fireworks inside, exploded after sitting outside the Trump hotel for 15 seconds.

The incident is being investigated by the FBI’s joint terrorism task force. President Biden has ordered federal authorities to explore a possible link to a similar truck attack in New Orleans on New Year’s Day.

Turo, a peer-to-peer car rental service, confirmed that both trucks involved in the attacks were rented from its platform. The Army is cooperating with the investigation.
